On April 24 2022, the Supreme People's Court of China released a bilingual report highlighting the measures taken by Chinese courts in protecting intellectual property rights.
The Report mainly covers protection on science and technology, registered trademark and copyrights, while judicial reform and practice in trialing foreign-related cases are also brought up.
Notably, the Report reflects a surge in new IP cases, being 642,968 in 2021, 22.33% higher than the previous year.
